Allie Silver, an American expat based in Buenos Aires, is the founder of Free Radical Productions, a music management and consulting company specializing in South American artists. In the past six years, Free Radical has produced and managed over 30 international tours in over 25 countries throughout Europe, the US, Africa, Asia, Oceania and Latin America at some of the most prestigious venues and festivals worldwide.
At the 2012 World Music Expo, Allie became the youngest “Samurai” juror to be selected to one of seven international music experts to review and select 30 showcase performers from over 1000 applications from around the world. She was honored to be the first juror of Womex DJ showcases that same year.
Allie is co-founder of Women of the World, a networking group for women in the world music industry held annually at The World Music Expo with satellite events organized by its members around the world. She has worked in the world music industry over the past 13 years in a variety of roles, from managing ZZK Records in Buenos Aires to festival production and radio producer and host for the Chicago World Music Festival. She has been an invited speaker at various international music conferences and universities, including the Asia Pacific Music Meeting in South Korea, THIS World Music Festival @ Formosa in Taiwan and a guest lecturer at Berklee College of Music Masters of Global Music and Entertainment in Valencia, Spain.
